Choice of accommodation

Our breath taking location and extensive range of facilities will ensure your well-earned holiday is relaxing, fun and unforgettable.

Fun for everyone

We have all the facilities on site that you could wish for – including the Three Rocks and Swimming Pool Complex boasting multi lane slide, indoor and outdoor Splash Zone, Sauna, Steamroom and Jacuzzi. As well as our own private beach including a fantastic seaview Beach Shack where you now enjoy comfortable seating whilst admiring the wonderful views. Or if your feeling more adventurous the Shack offers a range of hire items so you can take to the water and explore the coastline for yourselves.

Devon countryside

If you’d like to explore a little further afield there are beautiful coastal walks along the unspoilt Jurassic Coast, and an abundance of attractions and stunning countryside within easy driving distance of Ladram Bay. Located on the geologically significant Jurassic Coast, Ladram Bay sits within one of the UK’s five UNESCO World Heritage Sites. A World Heritage Site is a place that is listed by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as being of special cultural or physical importance.

Where We Started

When our parents opened a field to visiting campers in 1943 nobody could have foreseen the success of Ladram Bay. Since then we’ve become one of the largest family-owned holiday parks in the UK, won a range of awards and welcomed more and more people each year to our five-star park.

As a family-run park we understand what families want from a holiday and we go to great lengths to deliver it. Everything we do has the Ladram Bay touch: warm, welcoming and personal. Whether you’re escaping for a weekend break, coming to enjoy a fortnight’s summer holiday or buying your own Holiday Home, you’re guaranteed a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Family History

Great things often have small beginnings and we’re no exception. Back in the 1940s our park was tenanted farmland that was worked by Frank William Sydenham Carter, or FWS for short. During the summer he would let occasional campers pitch up in a field that overlooked the bay, providing fresh milk and eggs as well.

Pretty soon FWS realised that his land could provide extra income in the lean post-World War II years, and so he began to develop a proper campsite. With the help of his wife, FWS grew Ladram Bay to incorporate static caravans and a shop.

Come the late 1950s the park was becoming so popular that the workload was overwhelming. To make Ladram Bay a park to be proud of, a manager and extra staff were hired.

FWS carried on leading the park until his retirement in 2006, by which time we had become one of the largest privately owned holiday parks in the country.

With FWS’ son and daughter, Robin and Zoe, now guiding the park, we are more successful than ever as thousands of guests flock to Ladram Bay from across the UK each year. We’re delighted to have won a Diamond award for ‘Family Fun’ from Hoseasons for the ninth consecutive year and have yet again received five-star status from VisitEngland. But it’s not about the awards for us. What matters most is that each guest enjoys the holiday they deserve.

The drive over the top is breath taking seeing the sea as you come past the Ladram Bay park sign and driving down to the main gate. Absolutely perfect location, brilliant friendly staff and absolutely great for value! The photos and views you can get from right in your van or lodge is insane. Even more so from the private beach only a minute or so walk away!
